Conditions

Regarding the waiting list:

Signing up for the waiting list requires a $250 deposit (non-refundable in the event of cancellation). This deposit serves to demonstrate the prospective adopter's commitment to a thoughtful process of adopting a purebred cat. It also helps cover initial veterinary expenses. The amount will be deducted from the final transaction.

Registration allows you to be given priority information about births and to choose based on your ranking.

Regarding the reservation:

To confirm the reservation, a deposit of $750 is required. A sales contract is then drawn up.

Our kittens are leaving home:

- between 12 and 16 weeks, identified by electronic chip, dewormed, chipped, vaccinated (typphus-corysa-leukosis) at least 2 or 3 times depending on the starting age.

- with their pedigree (or current application) and a certificate of good health after inspection by our veterinarian.

- with an advice sheet and a small packet of their favorite kibble.

- The kittens leave sterilized

- The price is $2,300

On color:

With Norwegian Forest Cats, only type (conformity to the standard) matters, and a conscientious breeder will focus above all on ensuring that these criteria are met. All permitted colors can be worked. Therefore, there is no need to set different prices for different colors.

On early sterilization, I recommend you read these articles (in French):

- opinion of the Quebec Order of Veterinarians

- the 2020 veterinary dispatch (the pdf is here)

Follow-up:

I remain available to provide follow-up and answer any questions you may have throughout their lives. The kitten you have adopted is indeed a bond that will unite us for many years to come. I would always be delighted to hear from you and receive some photos. Please do not hesitate to contact me if necessary.

Adoption: being in line with my values

If you're looking for a lifelong companion, you've come to the right place.  ! The most important thing for me is to raise healthy and well socialized kittens.

I will only give my kittens to people with whom a relationship of trust can be established. The first contact is very important, and an introductory email is necessary to get to know you better. Thereafter a visit at home is more than desirable.

Buying an animal must not be on the impulse of the moment, you are committing yourself for fifteen years and it is essential for me to know their future living conditions.  before letting go of my kittens. This small breeding exists above all out of passion for the breed and for the pleasure of seeing kittens grow up well in their paws, not to do a simple commercial activity.

Also, there is no waiting list, I choose the adopters who,  in my opinion, will make the best family ever. This does not mean that the others would be bad adopters, but I have to make a choice in the end.

In particular, future adopters must commit to the well-being and safety of their new companion by:

- never declaw their cat, this practice is considered as abuse in many countries including France and therefore prohibited

- never leave it outside unsupervised
